Not Just Empty Words

Allow Your servant praise Your name
Give now my spirit voice
You cleansed this child You bore my shame
Allow my soul rejoice

In not just words the church has taught
From songs I’ve heard man sing
But now I’ve heard Your true report
Allow my words take wing

Not empty should my words now be
Nor should my heart be wrong
But now the truth I’ve come to see
The world should hear my song

I praise You for the things You’ve done
The blessings daily brought
I praise You for the victories won
Your strength through which I fought

I praise The One You sacrificed
The Lamb who came and died
I praise Your Son The Living Christ
Who’s arms yet reach out wide

I praise You for The One inside
The truth that set me free
That in my life You’ve turned the tide
And made blind eyes to see

So let Your name be magnified
Allow me lift Your Son
That righteousness be multiplied
And that Your will be done

Lord personal should our song be sung
When on The Wind they ride
True evidence from every tongue
The fruit of deep inside
