Not Looking For Fun And Games Poem by Ray Hansell

Not Looking For Fun And Games

Writing our names
Inside of a heart
Gave me a clue
That something might start

She explained many things
As she held my hand
She made it clear
That I must understand

She's not into this
For just fun and games
If that's the case
I need to change lanes

To go somewhere else
Find someone new
To do with them
The things I want to do

She said, I'm not some play thing
To discard when you're done
I want a relationship
That's caring and fun

So, if you are serious
You're welcomed to stay
I'll look forward to waking up
Next to you every day
