Not So Secret Poem by Suzanne Bronson

Not So Secret

There is a sadness – not so secret –
that lies between us in bed;
of another’s eyes that looked into mine,
of another’s arms around me.

A searching that was found,
that will not wash away –
rising like a distant silence
and one we cannot deny.
