You owe me nothing.
not a smile
not a note
not a promise
not a gesture
not your frienship
not your kindness
not your attention
not your love

And I expect nothing.
well, maybe a little
but that's simply my problem
an internal conundrum

But let's just be clear
since we've never made promises
in fact, I'm rebuffed
when I try to go in

That nothing was said
which can not be taken back
or left as it is
and we'll still remain 'friends'
