Nothing Poem by Corrine Andros

Nothing

Rating: 5.0

When I see him standing there,
My heart is overwhelmed with delite,
To see his shining face once more,
Brings my thoughts to a new height.

I missed you while you were gone,
And you have come back broken,
But I'll heal the pain,
If it drives me insane,
Because your love is an ireplacable token.

When you left I thought you'd never come back,
Gone overseas to fight some war in Iraq,
And I miss you more than anything while you were gone,
But I held my spirit,
And I held my hope,
It wasn't for me to sit and mope,
Because I knew you'd need me when you came back,
Here I am,
Loving you more than ever,
And beginning to help you unpack,
Forever.
