What was there before the stars?
Before time?
Oh! Nothing
So say the scriptures
So say the scientists
Even the greatest of them
So how vast is this nothingness?
And how deep?
What was there before nothing?
My little mind fails to grasp
This concept of nothingness
Perhaps I will know when I myself pass into nothingness
The feeling of this poem is familiar, Ruta; see my poem, Different with God. To your fifth question, the first creation account in Genesis declares, In the beginning God. -Glen
(cont.) do you refer to the Christian Bible? ? or another scripture, i WONDER. hmm? i DO like the poem. i don't care what came before what is now, and i lose no sleep over the uncertainty of 'it' all. to MyPoemList. bri :)
CAN YOU WAIT THAT LONG TO FIND OUT? ! Perhaps we have no choice, and....THEN what? there may still be no 'answer', OR we may not have the ability to 'hear it' or to 'understand it'. i have not been religious for the last 50 years. but i THOUGHT the Christian 'scriptures', or at least our minister(s) , said (or implied) that there always WAS GOD! (cont.)
Dear Ruta, such excellent questions penned in your poem👍👍👍
