Nothing!

My friend Robert Murray Smith
You are not alone in this crusade, for want of a better word. At 78 you must have had your Damascus moment some day. When your soul turned to a pall. When you reached that critical moment of epiphany and realised that religion is not what it seems.

The trouble with religion is its contradictions. Once people classify themselves as a denomination, they have already created divisions between them and those who don't belong. That runs counter to the teachings of love. Love is pure in that what nature created you are to love and let live, but once you organise yourselves into a sect you have already failed in your mission to spread love.

There are, to date,430 religions, each claiming to be the real one, the most pious, most divine, but, none of them has anything to do with love. It's about bigotry, racism, control of resources and supremacy. What has that got to do with love? Nothing!

Open Minded.

As we venture deeper into outer space
We are finding out we are able to trace
The origin of life in the dust of the stars
The same basic elements on earth found on mars
And the possibility that there is life elsewhere
Coming to haunt some, as it were.
Their self fulfilling narratives
No longer relevant

There are trillions of stars and planets
Our sun a tiny asset
In the limitless cosmos
Now everyone, hopefully, knows
Where then does religion fit in this?
Only as a medium of false beliefs
A way of mind control
The faithful behaving like trolls

We are not unique
Out there are aliens with similar physique
Because nature abhors a vacuum
There is infinite space and room
For other living beings
Other living things
Rendering our belief systems null and void.
This truth will make many annoyed

Religion is just a game
The truth remains the same
It's your right to believe
The stories of Adam and Eve
As long as you realise they are conjured
Communion with others will never leave you injured
As long as you are open minded and prepare to hear
Aliens saying, 'Know we are here! '
