Nothing Lost Poem by Eric Bult

Nothing Lost

Rating: 5.0

'Death by misadventure' is the phrase
Employed by Coroners when no foul play
Was evident or any doubt is raised
Concerning cause of death in any way.
With early death, and death by criminal act,
So human lives are ended, sometimes long
Before one might expect death as a fact.
What purpose then could such a life prolong?
I shall suggest that many lives afford
Immortal spirits, deep within our brain,
An endless voyage safely there aboard
A voyage of perfection to attain.

Though we may grieve for those who early die
Their spirits link with ours death to belie.
