Now I Know Poem by Ima Ryma

Now I Know

Mom, I never quite understood
The love you always had for me.
Even when I was not too good,
But still your love would always be.
When I got older and left home,
With you I just got out of touch.
I was too busy on life's roam
To care about you all that much.
Still for me your love carried on,
But rarely you, did I think of.
Then you died and were really gone,
And you did leave me with your love.

Mom, now I know the love you knew,
Because now I am a Mom too.
