Numb Poem by Min Min Chua

Numb

Eyelashes blinked the tears away,
but the red mark will forever stay.
Neither will the pain in her heart go away
because that slap was was adding to her pain.

The cold was taking over now,
as the gentle snowflakes fall to the ground.
The whistling wind called out to her,
comforting her that it's okay.

Her mind could not rest in peace
because she could not understand why,
she was kicked out of the house
and into the street to wander off fray.

The End was coming very soon
and God saw her sufferings.
He decided to take her with him
and a rosy smile hung on her lips.
