Numb
I wish I could be cold
numb, unfeeling
just for a few minutes
so I could avoid
at least for a moment
the feeling of my heart
shattering into a billion pieces
when you tell me that you
love someone else
Maybe if I was numb
I could pick my self up
off of the floor
and move on
