O, Boatman,
How deep the water is,
How the water currents,
I have to go, have to go,
Cross, cross the river!

Will you, will you
Make me cross, cross the river,
O, Boatman, boatman,
I have to go, have to go!

I see, see the water, the force of water
And, and return back,
Return back to,
O, Boatman, Boatman

And dare not, dare not cross, cross
The currents going downwards
And dare, dare not cross,
Boatman, O, Boatman!
