O My Son Don't Blame Me Poem by Sadashivan Nair

O My Son Don't Blame Me

My son, 'O' my son;
Don't blame me
For the way upbringing you,
Nor have I shoved you into sin;
It's not true;
My son, the world
You don't know as I went through;
Only you know from books,
Or the love you get from your mom;
You are me from my seed,
I wish you to rise strong,
Foil evil intention of devils;
Love isn't all to live life,
You need to learn,
Making difference
Between Love and hate;
People may have smile on their face,
But have deceitinginterest in heart;
Some people are like,
Blood sucking leech;
You will only know
When blood seeps out of cut;
Who once were with you
Would act in animosity,
As they get a chance;
Love is liniment to the hurt,
Solaces the severe pain;
I taught you to be pain resistant,
Distinguish pain givers,
And keep away from them;
My role is to teach the way,
To live like a man;
That I did while raising you,
Though sometimes
may be was bit harsh,
All was to evolve
Your survival instinct;
Yet you may blame or revile,
I am still your father, I love you;
