O' River Poem by Snake Blocker

O' River,
You flow with gravity to purify yourself.
You provide nutrition to countless species.
You give without receiving,
And pacify with a harmonious sound.
You satisfy the soul.

O' River,
You were created by God for His Glory.
You add calmness to the earth.
You smooth the rocks beneath your tracks,
And add adventure to the rafters.
You are not easily controlled.

O' River,
You provide for the fish and the fishermen.
You are the mediator between terrains.
You quench the thirst of many a creatures,
And defeat droughts which curse the land.
You are magnificent!

O' River,
You transport melted snow for replenishment.
You provide scenery to the artist; color to the photographer,
And landscape to the maps.
You lead the way to civilization,
you feed the hungry ocean.

O' River, lead me home!
