Ode To Teachers Poem by Edgar Eslit

Ode To Teachers

Teachers of our land, revered and strong,
Your guidance and your wisdom, help us belong.
You are the guardians of knowledge, the keepers of our past,
Your love and dedication, forever shall last.

With a gentle touch, you shape the minds of our youth,
And instill in them a love of learning, a passion for truth.
You ignite a fire that will never fade,
And help them to become, the best version of themselves that can be made.

You walk the long miles in coastal places and remote barangays,
Just to reach our children, and to guide them in many ways.
Countless burning of midnight candles, just for students to pass,
You do all of these things, without ever asking for any glass.

You are the pillars of our society, the foundation of our nation,
And your service is beyond any calculation.
You nurture our future leaders, and help them to thrive,
Preparing them for a world, that they will soon arrive.

Your influence on our lives, cannot be measured in words,
You are the embodiment of selflessness and dedication, like singing birds.
You stand by our side, through every challenge and test,
Teaching us to be kind, compassionate, and to always do our best.

Your guidance lights our way, through the darkness of our youth,
And helps us to see the truth.
You teach us to stand up for what is right,
And to be brave in the face of every fight.

So let us honor you, dear teachers, with a grateful heart,
For all you do, that sets you apart.
Your service to our children and our land,
Is an inspiration to us all, and forever shall stand.
