Oh sacred mother,
your beauty like no other
for each lake and river
seems like a blessed arrow from your quiver
your fertile hands, lush green
your eyes, a piercing light, white beam
Oh mother,
from your womb born we are
from divine mountains, to deep scars
tremendous load, on your back you carry
with frolicking nymphs of the night starry
as your brave warriors fight the sea,
with each strike they return, then flee
large valleys and springs that lie,
outwin the aerial dance of the sky
Your loving scent of misty brown
on your head, you wear a jeweled crown
pale, sandy cascades of your hair dry
as you teach a hatchling to fly
and with a loving shot of your bow,
you seem to make the stars glow
oh sacred mother,
indeed your beauty is like no other
