Ode To The Vampire Poem by Clare Webb

Ode To The Vampire

There she sits,
At her piano again;
It's all she ever does.

The silver moonlight
Dances on her long raven curls,
Making them seem to glow

I move closer,
She glances up and grins at me
Showing ivory white fangs between deep crimson lips

Her warm brown eyes flash a cold ocean blue
She is hungry.
I wonder how long it's been since she last fed

She once told me,
That she does not wish to feed off friends,
So I turn to leave

That's when I feel her arms around me,
And her teeth sinking into my neck...
A gasp of shock escapes my lips

In that instance, I fear for my life,
I fear my friend,
I fear... the vampire
