Ode To Thy Family Poem by Jude's Child

Ode To Thy Family

Time is unable to erase
The ties that bind our blood with grace
Though trouble beckons all around
The fortification of love holds sound
Words to weak to grasp the essence
Of the unspoken pact that is family

So surreal is the thought
That what we have cannot be bought
Yet so precious is our gift from God
That no mortal can break the bond
Words to weak to grasp the essence
Of the unspoken bond that is family

A life without our invisible chains
To face alone the world's pains
Is improbable on this earth we've gorged
For it is at birth these chains are forged
Would it not be foolish to take for granted
The gift He knew we always wanted
