Of Horses And Boats Poem by Annie Mark

Of Horses And Boats

Rating: 2.8

Love, Is what I see
In the eyes of the seven month old child
Laughing up at me
Love, is what I smell
In the stables when you are with your horses
It is the sound on the wind
As it fills up the sails of my boat
And love is what I feel
When I look at your image on my phone

Its first tentative shoots are reaching towards the sky
And twining through my brain
Are the future memories we would create
In the white hair of your stubble
I can see sunsets on the beach
And in the lines of my tan
I remember the hot sun of moments when you were with me
With exasperation you fill me
And smiles you kill me.
