Of No Consolation Poem by Bianca Free

Of No Consolation

quiet are the crickets
when they laugh in the night.
softly does the grass rustle
as it spouts.
gently goes the star's twinkle
in the evening sky.
like music to my ears
does nature resound,
rocking me in my solitude,
hugging me tightly to sleep.
but not even it's song can stop my tears.
it cannot make all the world right
or unsuffer its collective plight.
darling don't you understand
that i am in this alone?

There is always someone that cares, whether seen or not. Interesting poetry.
