OH FOR ONE POEM AT LAST

Oh for one poem at last
That would put an end to poetry for me
And leave me in peace alone
Without any love or need or knowledge of poetry
Alone and more alone
Poemless wordless
In the last falling silence of the lonely long night
Quiet as a dream that never happened.
