Oh Heavenly Father Poem by Denise Clark

Oh Heavenly Father

Rating: 5.0

Oh Heavenly Father
I come to you today, to help me find the strength
To make it through this day, See Dear Father
my heart has been broken and I'm desperately confused,
I need you to help me understand why it is my family that you chose
Kobe so innocent, Christine so young
Then you took my granny so close to my heart
And what about Brucie, full of laughter and fun
Stakey, his kids needed him so and
Stevie, who'll never see his kids grow
Not to mention those I've left out
Then my Dear Nonnie who I needed so much
How I mourn everyday just to feel their touch
Now your taking Amber, whom I've just gotten to know
and Dear Father I love her so
Seems like the ones I love most always have to go
So Dear Father I ask you again today
Help me mend this broken heart
And Guide me along my way

I am so sorry for your loss, Denise. I'm sure each one of them would be so proud of you if they had the chance to read this poem, though. Beautifully done. Shannon
