Oh My Covid

Rating: 5.0

OhMy Covid

How omnipotent you are!
How invisible you are!
How omnipresent you are!
We stand spellbound and dumb
But all the while praising thy ways

All believers of the world
Beseech you to be kind
All the preachers of the world
Extol you that you are all merciful
All the human incarnations of our Faiths
Are innocuously sane now
And they seem to claim "you are a balm"
That heals all the pains of the world.

Oh my Covid, how powerful you are
All the prophets, scriptures and Creators
Of all these ages stand stay put and shocked,
For, they have been miserable failures:
All their ages-old false claims, otherworldly prowess
And "Almightyful" acts of divinity have been "frauds".

Alas, among us are some who still feign
Willful ignorance and simply claim
Their saviors have been with them;
Angelic, warrior-like and as crusaders
Andsalvaged them from their age-like isolation.

Pity that they do not see you, Oh, My Covid.
Despicable that they do not see their saviors
Abominable is their superstition; that is willful
And vicious. They are circled by wantonness.
Oh My Covid, you have taught us;
Heinous faith is futile unless we are healthy.
Faith is in dedicated action, not in blind devotion
Devoid of humanity: our gods are our deeds.
Oh my Covid, you've resurrected the GODS among us;
The messiahs of HEALTH: , menials, cleaners, caretakers,
Nurses, druggists, docs and paramedics;
and those duty-bound seen on our streets.
Oh all my Covid GODS, you are here to stay.
