Oh, My Soul Poem by Faith Elizabeth Brigham

Oh, My Soul

Rating: 5.0

oh, my soul-
some say it is
an old one
others say it is
quite deep
but no one knows
my heart-felt joy
nor the tears
i sometimes weep

oh, my soul
has work to do
in its search
for beauty and truth
i see God in everyhing
as i have done
since i was
in my youth

oh, my soul
if i should pass
i'll know my
work here is done
but while i am
still on this earth
i'll speak my piece
out of a need
to be heard through
the written word
