Oil Poem by Patrick van der Loos

Oil

Rating: 5.0

The Old Family Car.
Well loved.
A faithful servant for many years.

How many repairs?
How many fixes?
How long until it quits?

Leaving the family stranded
by the roadside.

One Hundred Kilometers from town.

I wonder why you chose the title OIL for this lovely poem. It reminded me of my father's old and well loved car - it was actually his first. The story is simple but cleverly put together. This is the beauty of poetry. Thanks for sharing.
