Oklahoma Heroes And Outlaws Poem by Marilyn Lott

Oklahoma Heroes And Outlaws

Rating: 5.0

We took the bus and visited
A place where we found
The work of talented artists
Many were already renowned

Wonderful portraits were everywhere
Painted by the people of our state
Who had many other occupations
But certainly know how to create

There is a portrait of Will Rogers
Well, we all know who he was
Intelligent and entertaining
He always had an important cause

Reba, oh don’t you love her?
She too you’ll find on the wall
A famous singer and actress
And that certainly isn’t all

You can walk through and see
So many folks you’ve heard of
Some you’d never want to meet
And others we all truly love

So if you ever get the chance
To come to the state of Oklahoma
See this wonderful exhibit
With all its talent and drama!
