Old Hoes Poem by Christopher Tye

Old Hoes

Rating: 5.0

Old Hoes

Old gardeners leaning on old hoes,
Laying in wait for the weeds to grow,
Determined to destroy all those weeds.

Hoe' down for lunch in the potting shed,
Old traditions die hard in the countryside,
English lettuce defended by old Dutch hoes,
Sentinels of time and tradition.
