Old Hoes
Old gardeners leaning on old hoes,
Laying in wait for the weeds to grow,
Determined to destroy all those weeds.
Hoe' down for lunch in the potting shed,
Old traditions die hard in the countryside,
English lettuce defended by old Dutch hoes,
Sentinels of time and tradition.

Dear Sir, Old hoes represent dedication, perseverance and hardwork. Nice poem for me. It reminds me of a friend of mine working in an agricultural areas. Thanks for sharing. Respectfully Diane
