Old Town Poem by Yvonne Rautenbach

Old Town

Dirty Old Town

Particular purr of pint size buses with
Hot cars and bacon frying
Range of plots bubbling, cooling, outpouriing
onto random peeping plants
Breaking points in solid walls
Crumpling curbs, abandoned drains
and pasted portals
Undemolished homes without number
Redundant stiles
By half baked roads cracked to Kingdom come
