Olympics (Modern Vs Ancient) Poem by Avni Master

Olympics (Modern Vs Ancient)

Rating: 5.0

Champions who've trained to take a test,
So they can turn out to be the best,
And get gold medals for all efforts here,
As champion of champions for crowds do cheer.

They look back think and reflect,
Not knowing what to expect,
To come all this way then to lose,
They never needn't to accuse.

From the 4th century AD,
Oh, but you must agree,
The Olympic Games are a mystery,
But yet they are not history.

Back then they had to win,
Or it would be like a sin,
Only one winner,
Or you could be sinner.

It's all nations uniting,
But peace inviting,
Not about strife,
But the Games of life.

Just the Olympics,
And what's true to heart,
Are only the basics,
When this is the start.
