On Her 10th Birthday Poem by Tushar Ray

On April 23rd early morning
Tending to write a few lines
I contemplated on
My granddaughter's 10th Birthday

Suddenly flashed in my mind
Lucy's Love-laden blue eyes
I hurriedly typed, "I love you"-
But alas, nothing else came out

After a long pause I wrote,
"Well, my dear Lucy Mala
That's what you're going to get -
Only lots of love and kisses,

And,
You know what?
More I love you, the more I get
Making me a brimming Love-lake, for
You, Kiran & little Mya to navigate"
