On Mind-Body Continuum Of Julia Set

The infinity appears in the finite form
In this brilliant Julia Set
In numerous flairs and forms
As the iteration goes on
Following the formulation of Gaston Julia
When miracles happen to ensue
The unreal poses as the real
As infinity lurks behind the finite way
Like the gleaming stars in dark clear Sky
The unlimited glittering as the limited
After the vast ubiquitous quantum field
Where the reality and unreal get mingled
Creating the universe
That seems as real as the Julia set!
Or does it?
Let's watch our own creative mind
Playfully at work!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The Julia Set is a mathematical formulation created by Guston Julia. In its quadratic polynomials form the Julia set gives rise to the famous Mandelbrot set which upon iteration and plotting creates amazing patterns similar to those found in Nature.

Richard Feynman (1965 Nobel Laureate) , once said 'Nature uses only the longest threads to weave her patterns, so that each small piece of her fabric reveals the organization of the entire tapestry'. I believe the Julia Set (Chaos theory) beautifully expresses the same ideas thru iteration of its mathematical formulation. Back in 2005 when I was first looking intensely while trying to understand the scientific basis of the amazing portraits created by the Julia set, I arrived at the conclusion that the mathematical iterative part of the Julia formulation is nothing but a structured expression of the 'Infinite Mind'. We can see and feel 'the same fabric' weaving the patterns but cannot express it giving a verbal description, because it always stays beyond language. So, I had to express my feelings on Julia set poetically. About our creative universe Albert Einstein said, ''The universe is pure geometry, and pure geometry is pure mathematics, and pure mathematics is pure thought. Therefore the universe is a giant thought, and we are created in God's image because we think.'

Regarding the conventional concept of God, Richard Feynman had the following to say. 'God was invented to explain mystery. God is always invented to explain those things that you do not understand. Now, when you finally discover how something works, you get some laws which you're taking away from God; you don't need him anymore. But you need him for the other mysteries. So therefore you leave him to create the universe because we haven't figured that out yet; you need him for understanding those things which you don't believe the laws will explain, such as consciousness, or why you only live to a certain length of time - life and death - stuff like that. God is always associated with those things that you do not understand.' - - - - - -Richard Feynman (3) .

I would like to point out in this connection that I have a very interesting, discussion on Mind-Body topic currently going on in a research and discussion forum for contemporary scientists around the world, known as Research Gate (similar to the Poem Hunter site) .
