On my way to paradise
I met this stranger along the way
Later, someone who became dear to me
Who made me want to stay
On the third day of my journey
This stranger passed by
his blue eyes not on the road ahead
But on the star-filled sky
I continued my way uphill
With the stranger just behind
a cloud of fear grasped me
paradise is what I ought to find!
As day rolled on to night
my walk became groggy
as if the night had befallen inside me
all became foggy
Then out of the blue
I saw a black watered spring
Shakily I strode to it
and filled my flagon to drink
All of a sudden I lost my footing
and forward was I falling
and this cloaked hand grasped me
and saved me from drowning
How less did I know that time
that this stranger one day will be my all
and save me every time
I happen to have another fall
As the doors of paradise lingered ahead
I fell in love with his strange self
and unknowingly in his mystery
I lost myself.
I found myself staring at the alter of god
the gates of paradise
a feat too great to achieve
and those who don't despise
And yet I dint feel jubilious
because I had already bagged my prize
the stranger, an enigma I found
on my way to paradise
and with this prized stranger, I entered paradise now multiplied by his cross.
