On Relationship Poem by Richard Dave Luison

You and I met in this lifetime.
For whatever reason it may be
I am but glad that it came to be.
Knowing you is but one of wonderful things
life has given me.

From mere acquaintance, then lovers
as many would describe the kind of relationship we have today.
But, how funny. The term "lovers"
is not really tantamount to "a life filled with love that of the lover and the beloved" as i thought it would be.

No one mentioned about the many difficulties "lovers" have to go through along the way.
Nor tell the necessary whatsoever needed for the journey.
What a drag indeed when faced with a situation not knowing what to do nor say.
I would have greatly appreciate if i were enlightened, in any way.

The quest towards understanding oneself
is not easy.
All the more is the challenge
when it comes to understanding a person other than oneself.

Really it is the most mysterious among all the mysteries
I cannot just fathom the depth and fullness of this reality.
Sigh. Truly, it has never been an easy journey.
