Roe vs Wade 25/06/2022 (UTC +8)

Her body gave birth to the earth and the sun
While the galaxies and planets spun
And populations boomed
And all those faces consumed
This world and all that was in it.

She would like to abort everything, including their fiction
And the hetro-normative American diction
That shouts from politician to newsroom
'Woman is womb! '

Her body gave birth to the stars and the moon
While weaving DNA on a universal loom
Yet they will not afford her daughters a clean room
For an abortion.

Don't they know this body is just a costume
There is no such thing as a ladies room
And life certainly is not an heirloom
To be passed down to a newborn.

She bore humanity until she could bear it no more
Shook them off her belly onto the emergency room floor,
After they tore a knitting needle into her womb
Took away her human rights, and made them her tomb.

This morning she wept woven strands over Roe vs Wade
She knows there is no way to dissuade
And I don't know what to say to make them understand
Except she would have reproductive rights
If she had been born a man.
