On Sight Poem by Brian (Yaotzu) Bungcayao

On Sight

Rating: 4.5

Sparkle……….. Sparkle……...
I’m caught off guard by two streams of light
piercing through my clouded thoughts.
I remove the shades off my face
and raise my eyes and catch the glint off two orbs
blurring the reddish skies of dusk away.
Freezing a mili-second in a photographic permanence
forever etched into a memory of surreal comfort.
I begin to deny the logic of time
as I compile years of dreams in a single glance.
Unable to put my foot down to finalize a step
As I’m awed by the eyes of a complete stranger.
