On The Face - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

On The Face - Lincoln Park Zoo

I'm chimp, Zachary, and I do
Oft express feeling with my face
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo,
'Specially how my mouth I place.
A drooped lip means I am relaxed.
Full open grimace means I fear.
Bottom teeth show, I'm happy maxed.
Joker type smile, I'm in a sneer.
Pursed lips together is my pout.
Whatever's going on with me,
I'm in some sort of mood no doubt,
And I express it facially.

When I'm in a mood to beguile,
I make my Mona Lisa smile.
