On the sea- leaf

This is the precision
Of creation:
Light staying light
And not slipping into
Something else

The lightning’s awareness
Of its quick return

Noon’s reluctance
To be denser

And moon light’s hold on
Its silence.

Could the wind too be
Writing of such intricacies
On the moving
Sea leaf
Still freshly green.
