Once Again Poem by Matthew Edan Oliver Palma

Once Again

Once again in my dream you lie in my arms
And ‘though it was but a fleeting moment
It was more than I could ask
An eternity of bliss, the granting of a wish…

Once again in my memory I bask in your charms
Although this past may bring me torment
I’ll gladly hold to it steadfast
Pain and sorrow I will relish, to be with the one I miss…

Once again I believe in the magic of true love
For in the quiet of my slumber you have found your way at last
Endeared to me forever I reminisce about our time
A time of joy and jubilation for you were in my life…

Once again I surrender to the cloaking of the dark
Anticipating the very second that I’m taken to your arms
When you come to me in my lonesome, there is nothing I could ask
But to remain in sleep forever, once again lie in your arms
