Once By The Shore Of Sea Poem by AVIJIT MONDAL

Once By The Shore Of Sea

A boat came, you rode on it
Piecemeal weathered the far west
Where fragmented crimson clouds are dissolving in the water
The boat died out there

Once you didn't look back
Once again to behold you I stood aloof
Amid cardinal water countenance azure
I longed to eye at you in milieu embracing incredible nature
When came the opening I lost you that hour

I pined to meet in the evening sapphire
Hiked long side by side
Even so, couldn't cross the thorny fence;
I adorned thorn with dainty too
To eye at you in the milieu embracing incredible nature
But that time didn't allow.

All were going well
Not so tardy to fall evening
Below horizon is the sun
So, reddish were clouds - quite right as my design
No garden bloomed beside us but Mangrove
Zephyr fetched saline water
Saline is the rivulet's water
Desolate deserted, without any breathing being - an abut of sea
Where's the dreamland I don't know
An all graceful romantic aura was sired

You didn'nt brook a bit of delay;
Made no antiphon then
Couldn't know what my wrong was
Purely coveted to relish Beauty and Bounty -
No craving for lust.
Ah! befell mute a coup
You told:
'Produce poesy only, oh my staid bard'
Hence sire poesy that panorama
Saving in my heart- breathless without you
Failed to offer that you asked for
So you moved to isle other
Albeit there was time, I had no sail
Hapless my heart bewildered, seeks for anodyne
Goes on elege idyll-

Day dims, sun smiles in the west
White the sail of the boat
Floats in the east
Went into the channel tiny that boat
And the States of River
Beyond a few minutes float
Red-black the water of sea
Splashes 'gainst the shores
Right here you know my friend
Mingle how much tears...
