Once More Poem by Dama Tristeza

Once More

So many weeks later,
And you finally tell me.
“I no longer view you as a sister, you see.”

So I’ve been sitting and thinking,
And I wondered this:
Am I supposed to forget everything, for a kiss?

For so long I’ve sat,
Just watching you there.
And you're wholly, completely, oblivious to my stare.

I’ve often looked at you
And thought to myself:
Is he trying to make my life a living hell?

You look at me, and I look at you,
And though I don’t show it, though I won't ask;
I wonder if I’m only here to make you laugh.

Well, maybe it’s me.
Maybe I’m just insecure.
I guess I should know, but I’m not really sure.

So I just want to know one little thing,
Promise you’ll answer me honestly.
What exactly is it that you want from me?
