Once Rains Start Poem by David Howerton

Once Rains Start

Dark morning clouds heavy windless dawn
swat drip forehead chest under arms
drained wait rain wind drying
ground soaked water runs
road gray grime pollen
quick cleaning fresh
road clean bright
coffee
new
