If I did love her?

I replied
I love you dear
But I do not know
What love is?

Is love the wind
That whispers your name to me

Is love those distant blue mountains
Which brings your dreams to me

Is love the river
It must be the river
The sprawling river
That brings your voice to me

Is love the sparkling ocean?
That carries me towards you

Is love the hours and minutes
That I wait for you

Is love the years and years
That we have spent together

Once she asked me
If I did love her?

I replied
I love you dear
But I do not know
What love is?
