One Poem by Francisco R. Albano

One

“Astonishing! Everything is intelligent.” - Pythagoras

Let us make man in our image, in our likeness, He said.
And the minds of creation in polyphony chorused agreement.
Then in the name of all that He created God formed you and me.
In His image He formed us; in His image of land, sea, sky;
Of earth and rock, of flora and fauna, devas and angels;
In His image before the birth of faces He designed us.
So do you and I love now the feel of stone that is our skin.
So do you and I breathe now the scent of flowers that is our air.
Atom and panther and seraph are in our bone and muscle.
We are galaxies of stars and planets encircling ourselves.
We contain God, are as He, but in His dazzling revelation.
We, male and female, He created us, are all in all in His all –
And so it is that we are never totally Other, but still His
White light of living auras of a conscious universe.
