One Brilliant White Rose Poem by Jean Dament

One Brilliant White Rose

Rating: 5.0

A single white rose in all it's brillaince sits upright amidst the frigid snow;
As I stop & ponder on how can this could be so,
Simply it was put there to bloom for you & me,
God caused it to linger on for only us to see;
And leaving behind such a lovely fragrance quite divine,
While it seems to be lost in this moment of time,
Standing all alone there so brilliant & pure out in the warmth of the sun,
Now God's work really has just begun,
He beckons us to savor this sweet essence of love,
Sent from his peaceful spirit through a rose & a dove,
It's placed there especially for us to believe in his protection;
And then if we believe, to live out our lives shining in his reflection.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I love the knitting together of the spiritual and creational. They truly do reflect one another, as you have so well penned here. This is my kind of poetry, and I love yours. Shining in His reflection...we are made in His image and likeness. So inspired, kindred sister.; D
