One By One, These Petals, I Pluck... Poem by Becca Bell

One By One, These Petals, I Pluck...

I love you, I love you not
You do not determine my feelings for you, I do.
I love you, I love you not
You cannot manipulate me, or bend me to fit your mold.
That's why I am me, and you are not.
I love you, I love you not.
My indecision is caused by the ever-plentiful petals on this flower
And the days where you are indecisive too.
I love you, I love you not
Oh, the things I do for you.
All you can ever do for me is breathe.
I love you, I love you not.
But dammit, I still love you.
