You ~ You can't see me now.
I'm just a shadow in the faceless crowd.
nothing special to single me out
there's no magic in my voice when I shout
I shout 'YOU'! !

You! , the god they're worshiping on bended knee
you. the 'up and comer' they all pay to see
and why shouldn't they? you are the best!
you've left your footprints all over the rest
keep on climbing, you're almost to the top
no love or money could ever make you stop

one day...
you'll look as far as you can see
it'll all be yours one day
baby, you just wait and see

YOU! you get syndicated interviews
you. for months now you're the evening news
you got doctors, lawyers agents and priests
somebody always making your plans
you never have to think about being alone
with all your world tours and one night stands

it's gonna be yours one day..
look as far as you can see!
You'll have it all one day
you can FEEL it... it was MEANT to be

One day...
you'll look as far as you can see
and they'll be all gone
they'll all be gone
but me
