One Day She Was Gone Poem by Ray Hansell

One Day She Was Gone

It was the first day of spring
That's the day we met
Ever since that day
I've not had one regret

We shared so much laughter
Sprinkle in a few tears
But most of all looking back
We had some very great years

But then one day to my surprise
I learned she went away
She just up and left
Without one word to say

I think of her so often
I always wonder where she had gone
But more then that I wonder
The reason why she had to move on
