One Knight Stand Poem by Damien Lee Jones

One Knight Stand

Let us my Mrs. make a one night stand
last the sum of forever and a day.
Woman, my south paw lay at thy left hand
as your hair follicles turn shades of grey.

I follow the Knight's Evening bright North Star.
My right rib cage aches for reasons unknown.
She ages as fine wine. We love like war.
By today's break of dawn I should be home.

The horizon awakens the Son rise.
Celestial bodies on the pillow rest
peacefully on clouds from falling skies.
The surprise is three smiling silhouettes.

What's mine is yours. Love stood Time's test of ours.
What's yours is mine, every twenty-four hours.
