One Last Touch Poem by Alondra Nava

One Last Touch

How much pain can a human hold.
How much strenght does a human have.
To hold on to something may hurt a lot
Being able to let go hurts way to much.
The need for that one special touch.
Just to let the grief out
For once to feel relieved.
For once to feel alive.
Though the touch is sharp
It brings something more to my soul.
To feel safe again.
To feel sane again.
Happiness will never touch my heart again.
Though the ice is cold,
I keep walking forward.
Never looking back
Never regreting the past
Just hold on
Never let go
Keep holding on
But its best to just let goo *
Go somewhere else
Someplace safe
Im not asking for a place full of rainbows
Just a place with little rain
No judgement
A little bit of happiness
Maybe too much to ask
Really all I want is a normal life
Happiness?
An unknown feeling to me.
Take it
Take it all away.
And then walk away.
