Only Me Poem by Nom Nom Nom

Only I can make the water flow; the leaves fall
listening to the wind blow; building up that brick wall
I'm the one everyone will remember; I can change
I can make something famaliar turn to something strange

On days like this; with the rain hitting my window
where the endless puddles flow
I turn and whisper 'on days like this, only one can save us all'
and sit infront of the phone; waiting for him to call

My bed is made; my love is strong
but the memories start to fade; making them feel wrong
long ago I loved you more; but then you walked
you're the wrong person I adore; forgetting that last time we talked
smiles come and I hold tight
I keep them on until late in the night
bed's made and I'm ready for bed
but everything you said repeats in my head

As the night goes; I sleep tight
I fluff my pillows; and whisper 'She was always right! '

As the stray dog runs and hides; as the tears fall
I finally decide; I didn't give you my all
I have a full heart; a smile on my face
this is where I'll make a fresh start; without you in this place
